One of the great perks of Thailand is the amazing massage shops. Massage is a lot cheaper than in most Western countries and the variety and quality can be good.
The seedy underbelly of Chiang Mai’s nightlife is a far cry from the ridiculously wild times to be had in Pattaya and Bangkok. I’d rank Chiang Mai as a distant third place in terms of debauchery. That being said, there are some excellent massage shops in the city, filled with attractive Thai women waiting to serve you. This article offers a comprehensive guide to the best happy ending massage shops in Chiang Mai.
Before we begin, let’s go over some of the general themes, the good and the bad, the do’s and the don’ts, of the happy ending.
How Much Do Hand Jobs Cost in Chiang Mai?
900-1000 baht is the going rate for basic hand job services in Chiang Mai. Some shops divide the cost. The massage is 400 baht (sometimes 500) and the hand job at 500 baht is paid directly to the girl after the massage. But most of the shops that I will cover in this guide do an inclusive price paid upfront, with the most common “gogonutz” option (oil massage, hand job) at 900-1000 baht.
If you’re looking for a happy ending from a normal massage shop, always do the oil massage. Thai and, obviously, foot massages don’t lead to your being naked with the girl on the member. Also note that normal massage shops in Chiang Mai are less likely to allow for hand jobs than their Bangkok and Pattaya counterparts. This might have to do with a difference in the way that payoffs are given to officials to look the other way, or it might just be a Northern Thai cultural difference.
As for etiquette, I try not be overly drunk and smelly when I go for a massage. Dressing casually is fine, but I usually wear shoes rather than flip flops and a sleeved shirt rather than a tank top. Simple things like wearing a clean shirt, speaking softly and politely, mixing in a few basic Thai words, waing when waied to (preying hand gesture) – can go a long way to ensuring a better, repeatable experience with the girls.
It’s also prudent to hold back from the full grope for the first part of the massage. The girl will think you’re a gentleman and you can focus on the massage part before freeing the lion.
Should You Tip a Chiang Mai Massage Girl
It’s a good idea to tip 100-300 baht, especially if you had a good time and want to come back.
If the shop has a lot of girls, they will line up and you can select one, which is always fun. However, if a girl is in a bad mood, she might not look up or might give off signs that she doesn’t like you. This is normal and I wouldn’t feel sore about it. You can still pick her if you want to, but chances are you won’t have a good experience with her. Lackluster, uninspired hand jobs are the low of the low. Generally, I’d recommend picking a girl who makes eye contact and looks like she wants to help you with your problems.
Outcall Massage in Chiang Mai
A lot of the shops also do outcalls. Outcalls are where the girl gives you the massage in your room. Some shops allow you to add the shop’s line as a friend and will send you profile pics of the girls and their work schedules. You can then make a reservation ahead of time and have the girl over to your place.

It is more comfortable and intimate at home. Sometimes girls also become more engaging and genuine when they are not under the oppressive eye of the shop’s mama.
Cons of the outcall massage:
If you are worried about your reputation with neighbors or hotel staff, you might not want to bring a steady flow of girls back to your room that often. This is more of an issue if you’re living in Chiang Mai for an extended period or if you’re sensitive to social cues.
Also, sometimes the girls do not look like their pics, having grown older or larger over time. Also, Thai girls are often shy at first and might be shy coming to your room for the first time. One workaround is to go to the shop first, pick a girl you like, try her out at the shop, get to know her a bit, then outcall her for subsequent rendezvous. Outcalls also usually cost a few hundred baht more than a massage in the shop.

This shop has a great name and a great reputation. “Daisuki” means “I love it” in Japanese, and “Lolita” is the name of Nabokov’s controversial novel from the 1950’s about Humbert Humbert’s obsession with the young coquet Lolita. Most of the girls at this shop look good (8.5 out of 10). If a relaxing atmosphere is also important to you, then this shop is definitely worth a visit, as it is considered to be one of the best in Chiang Mai. The basic “gogonutz” is 900 baht. There are also lots of other options on the menu, including “fourplay” and “Gopro” (prostate massage); however, full service is not usually possible here. The shop is conveniently located on the east side of Santitham not far from the Old Town. It also offers outcalls and, during high season (November through February), it’s probably a good idea to reserve ahead.

Dream massage is another shop that lives up to the standards set by the first three on this list. There are a lot of girls to choose from; the girls are mostly attractive (8 out of 10); the shop is small but renovated and clean; the menu is innovative; the prices are competitive; and the girls have a lot of experience. The shop is located a bit further north in Santitam. This shop masquerades as a massage shop, but is actually a full service den of hedonism. If you are looking for full service in the Nimmen area, Sarika is the place for you. This shop is also open late until 1 am, so that’s an advantage. Most of the girls have had no training, however, on the whole are a bit rougher looking (6.5 out of 10), and the place feels a bit seedy. The last time I went there, I went with a buddy at around midnight. There were about ten girls at the shop, who all lined up and let us choose. My buddy took first choice since he was visiting from across the world, and chose the only really hot girl in the joint (she was way better looking than the other girls). It’s certainly hit or miss there, but if you’re looking to go all the way in the wee hours of the night, this might be your best option. Full service is a lot of fun, but for sure wear a rubber. The other option is body to body massage for the same price (1500 baht).
